Our New Addition

No...we are not expecting, but we have added to our family, our family of cars that is. Trevor has been working very hard at his Aunt's house helping her with tree trimming and other various yard jobs and as payment....she gave him her jeep! That's right, a 1980 CJ7. Oh man....there are going to be some fun times in this vehicle. Trevor was so excited to get it, I couldn't help but let him keep it. I felt like he was bringing home a baby bumble bee ( i just hope it doesn't sting him!) He instantly took off the hard top this afternoon and spent all night long riding around with the wind blowing through his hair, and messing mine up!

Here's Trevor and his parents riding up by the Dikes.

This is what it looks like with the top still on.

I'm sure we will be using this toy for some sweet camping trips.

Wasatch Back - Team Shaka Laka

Wow, it's been quite the weekend! Last weekend, Trevor and I participated in the Wasatch Back Relay race with many members of my family and then a few other friends. It was probably the most difficult thing I have ever done but also one of the funnest (yes, funnest) and most exciting things I have ever done. We were privileged enough to have the support of my brother James's company, hence we were Team Shaka Laka - pretty catchy huh? The race took us 30 hours and 4 mintues. ( just don't tell anyone the BYU cross country team did it in 20 hours.) Here are some awesome pictures of the torture:

C'mon Jenny! You can do it!

This picture of Natalie will probably be the the front cover of Runner's Magazine next month. Natalie pretty much flew down this hill.

This is Dad ringing the cowbell to cheer people on. If you look closely, you can see Trevor out the front window.

Trevor's ever dreaded hill......but he didn't walk!

Oh....the torture!

What a wonderful experience! I'm glad there's a whole year between races...oh yes, we have already signed up for next year. Those crazy runners!

So, I'm still trying to figure this whole blogging thing out...but I think I like the big pictures the best...you can see them better! Anyway, for out next camping trip we headed for the Stansbury Mountains....for those of you like me who don't know where those are, they are west of Tooele (yes, things do exist west of Tooele). Anyway, it was beautiful up there. We camped right next to a stream and the weather was perfect! While we were chilling by the fire, Trevor came up with a classic quote, I just had to put it on our blog! He said, "You never know until you Google it!". Oh man, what a world we live in! What would we do without Google!

Here is Trevor...he's only a little bit of a pyro...he really enjoyed playing with the fire.

Watching the fire burn.
These are some..ruins?...we found on the way. Trevor thought they were cool and wanted me to take a picture of him in front of them, so here it is!

Good morning Jenny!

Trevor and I have decided to go camping as much as possible this summer. Our adventures started with Bear Lake a couple weeks ago. We went with my family including, Chris, Maria and their two kids, James and Ann and their two kids, and Lisa and Lance and their little baby. It was a lot of fun despite the chilly weather and spotty rain.

Chilling by the fire. This is the log we got from Trevor's parents. It was the first of Trevor's Dad's log bears. Check out the marshmallow eyes!

There were a few brave souls at the beach including out little nephew Eric. Luckily Trevor was able to carry him out.
Here they are taking their one dunk before coming back out.

We spent the afternoon playing at the park...Here's Trevor being superman!
