Our little one.....and other miscellaneous stuff....

Yes, it has been awhile since I updated again, but a good friend called and reminded me that people like to know what is going on in our life, so here I am getting on top of things and updating the blog!

Our first bit of news that I haven't yet announced on this blog is our little baby! Yes! We're pregnant and expecting an addition to our family near May 22nd. I know many of you late May birthdays are hoping the big day will come on your own birthdays, but you see, we don't really have any control or say in that matter...so we'll just have to wait and see and maybe we'll name it after one of you :). Here is a picture of our little one from our last doctor appointment. It's a little hard to see since Trevor had to take the picture with his phone, but it's still pretty cool and reassuring that there is a baby in there somewhere! In this picture you are looking at the baby from the side and can see it's head and body.

We're pretty excited and can't wait to see what sex it will be next month!

On top of our little baby we have made some updates to our little condo in the last little while. We got carpet and finished the crown molding and baseboards. It looks amazing now! We've completed our list of things that we wanted to update that we made when we moved in. Our plan at the point was to sell the condo after making the updates and hopefully make a profit on it, so yes, our condo is on the market and for sell, but we are having a difficult time parting with it because it's just beautiful now! Ahh....life....I guess if someone comes along and buys it we will take their offer, but if nobody come....oh well? Haha, if anyone knows anyone in the market to buy a condo, send them our way! Here are some pictures of our updates.

I think that's about all we've got for updating this time. Merry Christmas everyone since knowing me I probably won't get to updating this again until after Christmas :). Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!

it's been awhile....

Well, it's been awhile since I last updated the blog....I guess we've been busy, or I've been lazy! Regardless, I suppose we've got some things to tell about. First off, our little puppy dog! Yeah! We got a dog! She is a Schnauzer/Dachshund mix and is about 10 months old. She has been a lot of fun but also quite a bit of work....house training a dog isn't exactly a walk in the park...but through lots of patients, I think we are finally figuring it out. Anyway, here's some pictures of our cute little pup! Her name is Bella Mia, but we just call her Mia.

She's definitely her daddy's little girl, she whines EVERY time he leaves the house and can't handle it when he is gone. Her favorite place in the world is the mountains.

Our next big adventure was the Ragnar Las Vegas. Yes...we were silly runners and participated in another 177 mile relay race down in Las Vegas. It was quite the adventure, but as always, tons of fun. Our car consisted of Lisa, James, Chris, Natalie, Trevor and I, and the other car on our team had some of Natalie's friends from SUU. We had a blast! Our hearts go out to the Jeremy Kunz family through their hard time. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

The car ride down. Ready to run!

Trevor and I at the starting line.

Trevor staring us off. Go Trevor! (yes, he beat everyone of them!)

Trevor, just before his sprint finish.

My first run....lots of hills :(.

Along the trail...

Night Runs!

Run....Drive...SLEEP...repeat
Waiting for Chris to come. Go Girls!

We did it!

What a fun adventure the Ragnar was. Can't wait until next time.

Well, the last big thing (and last the best of all) is BRIAN! Our Elder Bradley has finally come home and we are sure excited to have him around again. He doesn't seem to stuck in the missionary phase, even with girls hanging around. ;)

Waiting...waiting...waiting....

He's here!

Well, I think that's about all the big news for this long, long, post. Happy reading!

1st Place!

Last Saturday, August 22, Trevor and I participated in the Jordanelle Triathlon with Dad Bradley. We made up a relay team with me doing the swim, my dad biking and Trevor running. Apparently we made a pretty dang good team...but we'll get to that in a minute. I'll start this post with the night before the triathlon because I just had to get these pictures of our nephew Thomas and Trevor on. I thought they were adorable. Thomas loved being a cowboy on Trevor shoulders....Trevor just liked the fact that he got a Bradley to wear a University of Utah hat (sorry James!).

Yee-haw!

Anyway, I thought they were cute pictures so I posted them. Now for the real reason for this post! The Jordanelle Triathlon! We lucked out and it was a beautiful day for a race...a little warm towards the end of Trevor's run but great for my swim at 9:00 am. Here are some pretty good pre-race pictures.

Go Team 682!

Our wonderful cheearleaders...Mom, Natalie and Kimberly

And then came my swim...on your mark....get set....

Go! Can you see me? I'm the one without the wetsuit...

I did it!

There Dad goes....

And here he comes back! Go Dad!

Trevor's turn

For the next three pictures, watch the man in the white shirt...Trevor is behind...

Trevor is catching up....

And now Trevor has passed!
Run Trevor, Run!

What a great team! We discovered after the race that we placed first in the co-ed relay division and 4th overall in the relay division. Honestly, we were shocked! We were just in it for the fun and then we won. We couldn't believe it. We'll have to do it again sometime.

Christmas Meadows and Amethyst Lake

Well, it was another great weekend of camping fun! Trevor and I were able to travel with Mom and Dad Hatch up to the Uinta Mountains to spend the weekend at the family cabin! Man, it was so beautiful up there, I wish I were creative and had wonderful words to express the beauties we encountered, but since I am not, these pictures will have to do.

Trevor and I left Thursday night after work and headed up. We arrived at about 8:30 and unpacked and went to bed. We woke up Friday morning, ate a hearty breakfast and packed our day-packs. Our plan was to hike to Amethyst Lake, a lake that is legendary in the Hatch family. So we headed to the Christmas Meadow Trailhead. This is the picture of us at the beginning of our hike. It was a beautiful morning! Those hoodies came off pretty quick though! We attacked the 6.5 mile hike up the mountain and were able to make it to our destination at about 11:00.

And this is beautiful Amethyst Lake!

Well, it was a beautiful place, but unfortunately, we were not able to stay very long...the mosquitoes were destined to overrun the place and you couldn't enjoy one minute of sitting still without getting swarmed by dozens of them. I have never seen so many mosquitoes in my entire life! We tried to get some good pictures by the lake, but as these pictures show, it was very difficult to get one without one of us swapping at a bug.

So instead of relaxing and enjoying a day at the Lake, we decided to just meander our way back down the trail and get some pictures of all the waterfalls and meadows we passed. So here are some of the wonders of nature we were able to enjoy:

After our adventures on Friday, we were able to spend the rest of the weekend relaxing with Dick and Jane, fishing, playing card games and just enjoying the beauties of the Unitas. They are probably the closet place to heaven on earth.

3 Years!!!

Happy Anniversary!!

We had our 3 year anniversary this week (June 30). Can you believe it? We took Wednesday off work and went to Heber for the night, then went to some hot springs up Spanish Fork Canyon. It was a great little trip, but too short, of course. It was all fun and games until Trevor was bit by a 5' long blow snake. Luckily he is ok...but it sure scared us!

This is the snake that bit Trevor....mean mister snake!

This is Trevor's bite. Ouch!

This is us in the hot spring. Oh cute!

We can't believe it's already been three years. It has been the greatest three years ever though! So many fun times and great adventures. We have been so blessed and still feel like newly weds.
