The last month or so....

Life in the last month or so has been pretty crazy. We've done lots of stuff, visited lots of places and created new things. In mid-June Trevor and I participated in the Ragnar Relay with our family. It was a ton of fun as always. I got to be lucky runner number 1 and started off the race in Logan. Trevor was runner number 5. We both really enjoyed being in Van 1 this year...I think they get the good end of the deal.

Starting Line

Here comes Trevor up Avon Pass, he killed that hill!

At a major exchange....most of the team!

Also during June, McKaylee decided to work on growing a bunch of teeth. She had a day or two where she had a pretty high fever and was very passive (definitely not McKaylee like). She even broke out with a fever rash and scared us pretty bad. It was hard to see her so sad, but it was fun to have her cuddle with us! You'll have to take notice of the stick in her hand....she really loved holding on to it when she was sick...not sure why. She took it everywhere though, sleeping, eating, playing. I thought it was pretty funny.

At the very end of June, Trevor and I celebrated out 5th anniversary! Yes, five years! Can you believe it? Time goes by so fast. We have loved every minute of the last five years getting to know and love each other more and more. Trevor is the best husband I could ever ask for! We celebrated by going up to Wolf Creek for a night. Dad Bradley awesomely got us a room up there for free. It was a great night and so pretty up there. We took a trip up to Avon pass where the Ragnar Relay ran, it was strange to see it without all the runners and vans, we hardly recognized it! There were some beautiful wild flowers everywhere that weren't there when we were running.

We also went and visited Causey Reservoir. It was very very full. Generally there's some pretty good cliff jumping, but it was too full to have the high cliffs. The runoff was pretty cool to see though.

Happy Anniversary Trevor! I love you!

Isn't he so handsome!?!?!?!

A couple weeks ago, we took a trip up to the cabin in Christmas Meadows. It was a ton of fun and beautiful weather! It would have been a perfect trip if McKaylee hadn't lost her shoe in the river or Grandpa's truck hadn't gotten a flat tire....oh well...memories I suppose!

Kisses from Grandpa!

This month, Trevor also started his own business. The job market is so tough and so he's decided to create his own job. Check out the new truck! If anyone needs any landscape installation or maintenance, let us know!

And, I just have to post about this last random thing....McKaylee loves the cat that lives upstairs. It comes and visits our patio every once in a while and McKaylee has a blast watching it through the window.

One Year Old!

Well, McKaylee made it, the big ol' #1! I can't believe how quickly the year has gone. To celebrate we invited some family and friends to the park for cake and ice cream. It was a bit more chilly than I wanted it to be, but still a fun time.

Here's McKaylee eyeing the cakes before the party. Thanks so much Maria for making these beautiful and awesome cakes!!!

McKaylee trying out her new stroller. She loves walking around playing with it. Thanks Grandma Hatch!
Opening presents.
And of course, enjoying the cake! Doesn't she just look happy?

Thanks everyone for coming to help celebrate! It was a perfect first birthday.

Well, hello there!

Yes, it has once again been a very long time since I updated the blog. So here's a synopsis of the last few months or so!

Trevor graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in International Studies and a minor in Italian on May 7, 2011

On April 16th I ran the Salt Lake City Marathon with my sister Natalie and my brother Brian. We all finished!

In late April we took a trip to Southern Utah. We visited Zion's, Bryce, Grand Staircase Escalante and Capitol Reef National Parks. It was beautiful down there and so much fun to get away for a couple of days.
McKaylee liked the squirrels.
The river was flowing so high! It was scary.
McKaylee at the visitor center in Bryce National Park.
Us at Bryce National Park.
Trevor and McKaylee at Zion'sHole in the Rock.
Our Awesome campground in the middle of nowhere.
Hanging out in the trailer.

And here are a few other random pictures of what we've been up to.
Here's a video of McKaylee and her cousin Everett learning to walk together.

Here are some of McKaylee's first steps!

Christmas, New Years, Crawling and my new obsession!

Yes, it has been awhile since I've updated the blog. I'm sure you will understand why after reading this post.

Christmas was wonderful this year. We stuck around town and spent time with family and friends. It was a very relaxing Christmas but also a lot of fun. McKaylee loved all the paper and boxes, of course, but she liked her presents as well. Here are a few pictures of her very first Christmas.

Thanks Lisa and Lance for the hat and treats!
Bradley cousins.
Christmas morning

McKaylee loved the Christmas tree! She liked looking at the pretty lights and playing with the beads.

The week after Christmas we headed up to the Hatch's family cabin for New Years. It was very, very, very cold (-20° at times!). It was a lot of fun though. McKaylee put up with getting bundled up and riding in on the snowmobile. The ride put her right to sleep. She did really well up there except for sleeping....she kind of wanted her bed. We played lots of games, read books and of course welcomed in the new year!

Here are Trevor and Dad welcoming in the New Year!
The champion snowmobiler! He wanted to go all the time no matter what the temperature outside! Mean Uncle Trevor made him wait to go out until it was at least 0°F.

McKaylee loved her bath up there. She had so much fun splashing in the water and was the entertainment for the night.

Getting ready for bed and reading stories.
The oh-so-long and cold trail to the outhouse.

Thanks for the fun trip Mom and Dad Hatch!

Well, McKaylee is going crazy with her new found freedom. She has finally figured out how to crawl and it has been the greatest thing ever. She is soooo much more self-entertained now. She loves finding toys, following you around the house, climbing up on things....playing, playing, playing! We are still finding places around the house that have not quite been baby proofed, but I'm sure we'll find them all eventually. She has a funny froggy crawl sometimes as she tries to put her feet underneath her instead of her knees, but most of the time she's got it down pretty good. Here's a cute video of one of the the first times she crawled.

And now for my new obsession and the reason this blog hasn't been updated in months! For my birthday last November I asked my sister-in-law Alisha to teach me how to crochet. Little did I know what I was getting myself into! If there is such thing as an unhealthy obsession with crochetting, I think I have reached that point, but I am having so much fun! Here are some of the things I've created:

Mary-Jane baby shoes.
Baby boots.
Ear-warming head bands.
Headband with flowers
Blanket for McKaylee. It's not quite finished yet, but you can see the basics of it.

I have had so much fun making all kinds of things, and I'm not sure that my appetite will be filled until I've tried my hand at everything! I want to try something a little more complicated next, I'm thinking of a skirt or dress for McKaylee. Thankfully there's all kinds of things to try and make out there. Thanks Alisha for teaching me! I've had so much fun with it, even though it consumes all my free time.

And just to make you smile.....
