Well, maybe once I'm home more often this blog won't be so neglected....haha, well, here's the updated!
First off, our new addition! No, we don't have our little girl yet, but Trevor has added to the car family. He oh so sadly sold his nice '05 F150 to get rid of the car payment and ended up with this. It's a '95 Toyota 4Runner. Personally, I love it, Trevor seems to be at least ok with the downgrade, though he will miss his truck! At least it's got four wheel drive and it'll be a great family camping vehicle!
The next bit of update......although I will never be as talented or ever be able to keep up with my sister-in-law Maria's long list of baby projects, I have done a few things that I'm quite excited and proud of. My first project was a car seat cover. It turned out pretty cute, but I haven't quite finished it yet. I need to get a car seat before I make the handles and such so I can make sure it fits right. Anyway, here's a picture of it:
My next big project was this baby cross-stitch. Trevor bought it for me for my birthday last November and it has taken me these 5 long months to finish it. It was a lot of work, but it turned out really good, I'm excited to put it in the baby's room! I couldn't figure out how to take the picture without the flash, but you can see the jist of it.
This last week, my Mom and sisters put on the greatest baby shower ever! They had so many cute ideas like baby clothes hanging on a clothes line, a diaper cake, lots of advice, and (of course) wonderful desserts (including meatloaf cupcakes!). It was an awesome time to spend with family and I am so grateful for all of their generosity and kindness. Here's a picture of our little girl's crib (thanks Mom and Dad for buying it for us!) with some of the fun blankets and other things we got. Our little baby will be one lucky girl.
And here's a fun picture of the nursery that's coming along....
And just for an update on how much baby is growing...here's a picture of my ever-growing tummy! Lots of people say I don't look big enough to be 8 months along...but I sure feel like I am!!
I'm so excited to meet little Baby girl Hatch! And I loved the cross stich. It's a great way to pass the time.
